Installing Dial-Up Networking

Add/Remove Programs Before going any further, it is important that we install the Dial-Up Networking programs. To do this, go into the "Control Panel", then double-click "Add/Remove Programs".

Now, select "Windows Setup" from the top (shown at right), and then double-click on "Communications". In the window that pops up (below), check "Dial-Up Networking", and then press "OK" to close each of the windows.

Windows will install a few files off of the Windows 95/98 CD or disks, and then ask you to restart your computer. Once you've restarted, you will be ready to continue.
